The Institute for Poverty, Land and Agrarian Studies (PLAAS) is dedicated to supporting social justice and fostering informed and democratic policy debate across Southern Africa. Operating from its primary address in Bellville, Cape Town, Western Cape, ZA, PLAAS engages in research, policy engagement, teaching, and training focused on the dynamics of chronic poverty and structural inequality.
