The Federation of African Medical Students' Associations (FAMSA) is dedicated to enhancing health across Africa. As the unifying body for medical student associations throughout the continent, FAMSA connects students, facilitates information sharing, and publishes medical articles in the esteemed AFROMEDICA journal. FAMSA actively conducts health surveys and research, organizes impactful health awareness programs, and educates the public on vital health-related issues. Operating from its primary address at c/o Office of the Provost, College of Medicine, University of Ibadan, Ibadan, Oyo State 200212, NG, FAMSA is committed to fostering collaboration and knowledge dissemination among future healthcare leaders.

FAMSA's initiatives are spearheaded by five dynamic standing committees: the Standing Committee on Health and Environment (SCOHE), the Standing Committee on Medical Education and Research (SCOMER), the Standing Committee on Professional Exchange (SCOPE), the Standing Committee on Population Activity (SCOPA), and the Standing Committee on Publications (SCOPUB). Through these committees, FAMSA organizes a variety of events annually, including the General Assembly (GA), Students International Clinic Conference (SICC), medical and research electives, FAMSA Health Educative Schools, and specialized seminars. These events serve as crucial platforms for medical students to convene, discuss pressing medical topics, and participate in scientific conferences. The Federation of African Medical Students' Associations (FAMSA) welcomes health professionals and the general public to engage in these enriching experiences.
