Yuma County Water Users' Association

The Yuma County Water Users' Association has been dedicated to serving Yuma's agricultural industry for over a century. Founded in 1903 in Somerton, Arizona, the association is a private, non-profit corporation focused on the development and funding of the Valley Division of the Yuma Project. This project stands as one of the most enduring and successful reclamation initiatives, ensuring landowners benefit from the most senior Colorado River water entitlements in the state.

Operating from its primary address at 3800 W. County 15th St., Somerton, Arizona 85350, US, and with an additional location at P.O. Box 5775, Yuma, AZ 85366-5775, US, the Yuma County Water Users' Association oversees approximately 53,450 irrigable acres in Arizona. Annually, around 45,000 acres of prime farmland are actively cultivated, yielding over 80,000 crop acres through year-round multi-cropping practices. Beyond agriculture, the Association plays a vital role in municipal water supply, delivering over 95% of the City of Yuma's water and expanding its services to include the cities of Somerton and San Luis.
