Bhutan Power Corporation Limited (BPC)

Bhutan Power Corporation Limited (BPC) is dedicated to providing affordable, adequate, reliable, and high-quality electricity services to its customers. Established on July 1, 2002, as a Public Utility Company, Bhutan Power Corporation Limited was formed from the Department of Power under the Ministry of Trade and Industry. The goal was to enhance efficiency and improve electricity supply services within the power sector.

Later, ownership of Bhutan Power Corporation Limited was transferred to Druk Holding and Investment Limited (DHI), the commercial arm of the Royal Government of Bhutan. DHI was established in 2007 to manage the Royal Government’s investments for the long-term benefit of the Bhutanese people. This strategic move has further strengthened BPC's ability to deliver exceptional service and contribute to the nation's development.
