EaPeReg

EaPeReg is a dynamic telecommunications network dedicated to fostering collaboration and harmonization within the Eastern Partnership region. Established in 2012, EaPeReg serves as a vital platform for the exchange of information and best practices among National Regulatory Authorities (NRAs). EaPeReg actively supports Eastern Partnership countries in adopting EU best practices, facilitating access to expertise, and guiding them toward alignment with EU telecom policies and principles. This collaborative effort extends the benefits of the EU digital single market to citizens, promoting welfare and progress in the digital landscape.

EaPeReg's unique approach has enabled significant advancements in key areas, including roaming through the development of a Regional Roaming Agreement, enhanced coordination of radio spectrum with the Regional Spectrum Agreement, and the establishment of legal frameworks that strengthen the independence of NRAs. These measures empower NRAs to foster competition in telecom markets and to protect end-user interests. EaPeReg collaborates with other regional platforms such as BEREC, EMERG, and REGULATEL, and actively participates in ITU activities, reinforcing its commitment to harmonized approaches in transnational issues like spectrum coordination and roaming.
