Budovereniging Hikari has been a respected name in Japanese self-defense disciplines for over 50 years, both within and outside the Zaan region. At Budovereniging Hikari, lessons in Aikido, Jiu-Jitsu, Judo, and Karate are provided by recognized instructors. The association is affiliated with the national sports federations Judobond and Karate-do bond Nederland. Like any association, Hikari relies on the commitment of volunteers. In addition to sports, the board and various committees regularly organize other fun social activities, including the annual youth camp and, for the smallest members, siblings, and of course, the Sinterklaas celebration.

Budovereniging Hikari is al meer dan 50 jaar een begrip op het gebied van Japanse zelfverdedigingsdisciplines, zowel binnen als buiten de Zaanstreek. Gevestigd aan Panneroodstraat 1, Zaandam, Noord-Holland 1503 XH, NL, verwelkomt deze sociale familievereniging leden van alle leeftijden en heeft een rijke geschiedenis van training op zowel recreatief als nationaal niveau. Budovereniging Hikari staat bekend om zijn positieve impact op de fysieke en mentale ontwikkeling.
Bij Budovereniging Hikari worden lessen in Aikido, Jiu-Jitsu, Judo en Karate verzorgd door erkende instructeurs. De vereniging is aangesloten bij de nationale sportbonden Judobond en Karate-do bond Nederland. Zoals elke vereniging vertrouwt Hikari op de inzet van vrijwilligers. Naast sport organiseert het bestuur en diverse commissies regelmatig andere leuke sociale activiteiten, waaronder het jaarlijkse jeugdkamp en, voor de kleinste leden, broertjes en zusjes, natuurlijk het Sinterklaasfeest.
