Desde su constitución como asociación deportiva en septiembre de 1992, el Club de Rugby Sant Cugat ha consolidado su posición mediante la creación de una escuela de rugby en 1995. Actualmente con sede en las instalaciones de la ZEM La Guinardera desde 2004, cuenta con dos campos de rugby dedicados. El club cuenta con muchos equipos, incluyendo el ascenso del equipo femenino a la División de Honor A en la temporada 2020-2021 y la presencia del equipo masculino en la División de Honor B desde la temporada 2011-2012, donde ha competido en varios play-offs de ascenso a la División de Honor A.
El Club de Rugby Sant Cugat cuenta actualmente con más jugadores federados que cualquier otro equipo catalán y se encuentra entre los 10 más grandes de España.
