NEW SPACE PORTUGAL is dedicated to empowering the Portuguese Space Industry, positioning Portugal as a key player in global markets. Through a consortium of 39 entities, NEW SPACE PORTUGAL focuses on designing, developing, producing, and launching Earth Observation satellites. This initiative aims to place Portugal at the forefront of technological advancement and sustainable solutions.

By the end of 2025, NEW SPACE PORTUGAL will deliver High and Very High-Resolution Earth Observation satellites with daily revisit capabilities, contributing significantly to the Atlantic Constellation. Furthermore, the project includes SAR (Synthetic Aperture Radar) and AIS/VDES (VHF Data Exchange System) satellites, enhancing the scope and precision of Earth observation data.

In addition to satellite technology, NEW SPACE PORTUGAL is developing the Digital Planet platform to merge data from multiple sources and provide value-added services. This comprehensive approach is set to accelerate the growth of the space industry in Portugal and ensure that NEW SPACE PORTUGAL remains at the cutting edge of a promising sector.
