Trobanex

Trobanex is dedicated to supporting the cultivation and purchase of organic bananas and organic cocoa beans. For nearly 30 years, Trobanex has been instrumental in supporting small producers in the indigenous reserve of Talamanca and Turrialba in Costa Rica, providing a sustainable income to the Bribri and Cavecar tribes. The organic bananas are processed and shipped to Europe and North America, with Trobanex now counting on almost 2,000 certified indigenous farmers and benefiting another 10,000 people indirectly through this agro-forest project. As of 2022, Trobanex extends its commitment to purchasing certified organic cocoa in the same sustainable manner. Freshly harvested cocoa beans are transported quickly to facilities in the jungle region of Talamanca, where they undergo proper fermentation and careful sun drying.
