EgeSAM Translational Pulmonary Research Center is dedicated to advancing translational medicine by bridging laboratory research and clinical applications to improve diagnostics and treatments for lung diseases. Located in Izmir, Bornova, EgeSAM fosters collaboration among various disciplines, including Pulmonary Medicine, Allergy and Immunology, Oncology, Medical Biology, Medical Genetics, Pathology, Pharmacology, Histology, Embriology, Chemistry, Biochemistry, Biology, Mathematics, and Bioengineering. This multidisciplinary approach ensures comprehensive knowledge transfer from bench to bedside.

EgeSAM Translational Pulmonary Research Center actively engages with national and international institutions, including Dokuz Eylul University, Izmir Institute of Technology, Katip Celebi University, Suat Seren Pulmonary Diseases and Surgery Hospital, Marmara University, and Medipol University. Additionally, researchers and consultants from global institutions in Germany, Poland, Belgium, Finland, Israel, Austria, and the US contribute to EgeSAM's research endeavors. EgeSAM Translational Pulmonary Research Center aims to become a reference center for the early diagnosis and management of severe and chronic pulmonary diseases using innovative scientific approaches. The center is also involved in International Clinical Drug Development trials, with ongoing Phase II and Phase III studies in Lung Cancer, Asthma, Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease, and Interstitial Lung Diseases.
