Recognizing the increasing demand for chemicals and the critical environmental and safety concerns associated with their use, ESTex is committed to ensuring sustainable sectoral growth through comprehensive research and capacity building. ESTex undertakes crucial survey work on chemical sustainability, addressing the restrictions on hazardous chemicals and promoting effective waste management practices.

ESTex is actively engaged in chemical mapping for the textile sector, providing detailed insights into the types, quantities, origins, transportation, storage conditions, handling, usages, and hazard factors of chemicals consumed by local textile industries. To further enhance environmental stewardship, ESTex organizes workshops, training sessions, and seminars focused on chemical safety and management, as well as effluent treatment plant (ETP) operations. ESTex also conducts textile ETP sludge mapping, empowering factory management with the knowledge to make the best choices for sludge disposal and management.
