CEFRES

CEFRES is a distinguished French Research Center dedicated to advancing Humanities and Social Sciences. Founded in Prague in 1991, CEFRES plays a crucial role in fostering scientific exchanges between France and Central Europe. It operates as a mixed service and research unit under the joint supervision of the Ministry for Europe and Foreign Affairs (MEAE) and the National Center for Scientific Research (CNRS).

Located at Na Florenci 3, Prague, 110 00, CZ, CEFRES actively builds and maintains a robust network of research teams across France, the Czech Republic, Hungary, Poland, and Slovakia. Through the CEFRES Platform, a French-Czech cooperation initiative, it collaborates with the Charles University of Prague and the Czech Academy of Sciences. CEFRES's scientific policy revolves around three transversal research areas that support a broad range of research topics, facilitating extensive international scientific cooperation and scientist mobility.
