The World Vegetable Center is a leading international non-profit research and development institute dedicated to vegetables. With a focus on healthier lives and more resilient livelihoods, the World Vegetable Center promotes diversity in seeds, agricultural systems, and diets through comprehensive research and development projects.

Operating globally from its primary address at Shanhua, Tainan 74199, TW, with additional locations in Bangkok, TH; Hyderabad, IN; Arusha, TZ; Bamako, ML; and Cotonou, BJ, the World Vegetable Center leverages its extensive network and established presence in Asia, Africa, and Latin America. By applying expertise across vegetable systems, the World Vegetable Center strives to enhance biodiversity, improve climate adaptation and resilience, and tackle the root causes of inequity, poverty, and malnutrition through a food systems approach.
