MissionGreenFuels is dedicated to accelerating the development and deployment of sustainable green fuels for sectors where direct electrification is insufficient, such as shipping and aviation. With a focus on innovation, collaboration, and impact across the green fuel value chain, MissionGreenFuels supports research, development, and demonstration projects that drive technological breakthroughs and improve regulatory frameworks. The vision of MissionGreenFuels is to contribute substantially to global climate goals within the field of green fuels.

MissionGreenFuels fosters collaboration between industry leaders, research institutions, and policymakers, aiming to contribute to reaching ambitious climate goals. Furthermore, MissionGreenFuels supports research, innovation, growth, job creation, and export potential within the field of green fuels. By implementing green fuels in our energy system, fuels can be produced locally, utilizing wind, solar, and bio resources. This enhances energy security, strengthens resilience, and reduces dependence on fuel imports.

MissionGreenFuels is one of four green government-supported InnoMissions funded through Innovation Fund Denmark and is led by a secretariat under Aalborg University in collaboration with the Danish Center for Energy Storage (DaCES) and Energy Cluster Denmark (ECD).
