Mehraz Foundation

Mehraz Foundation is a distinguished non-profit organization dedicated to critical advanced studies in the Art of Architecture (VAKAVI). Established in 1978 at the Southern California Institute of Architecture (SCI-ARC) in the USA, Mehraz Foundation has been active in Iran since 1980, fostering collaborative projects that bring together students, researchers, scholars, and professionals from diverse fields. These fields include sociology, archeology, mythology, history, film direction, graphic design, urban design, and architecture.

Mehraz Foundation focuses on rediscovering vernacular approaches and sustainable design principles for shaping man-made environmental spaces in Iran (Persia). Through in-depth interpretation and extensive research, the organization contributes significantly to understanding and promoting sustainable architectural practices.
