An EU funded project working to reconcile fisheries management and marine conservation
MARHAB project is at the forefront of research services, dedicated to improving marine habitat status through comprehensive ecosystem dynamics analysis. As an EU Horizon-funded project, MARHAB unites six leading European research institutions to reconcile fisheries management with marine conservation, focusing on enhancing the health and sustainability of our marine environments.
Operating with an ecosystem perspective and a specific focus on the Skagerrak and Kattegat regions, MARHAB leverages the expertise of its participating institutions: the Norwegian Institute of Marine Research (IMR), the University of Gothenburg (UGOT), the Swedish University of Agricultural Sciences (SLU), the Technical University of Denmark (DTU), Centre of Marine Sciences (CCMAR) of the University of Algarve (Portugal), and the National Centre for Scientific Research (CNRS, France). MARHAB's collaborative approach ensures thorough and innovative solutions for marine conservation challenges.
With a commitment to biodiversity, trophic cascades, and ecosystem-based management, MARHAB is dedicated to creating a positive impact on blue forests and marine protected areas. The project’s work is pivotal in shaping the future of fisheries management and marine conservation practices. We invite the manager of MARHAB project to create a customized and exclusive company showcase and product listing on our platform, to further highlight the exceptional work and contributions of the organization.
