LancsCAN

LancsCAN is dedicated to mobilizing Lancashire’s community voice and action on climate change, working collaboratively to advance the county’s climate agenda. Recognizing the diverse challenges in creating a sustainable future, LancsCAN has been co-developed by its members and comprises a growing network of community-oriented organizations involved in various climate action fronts.

Operating from its primary address in Ormskirk, Lancashire L39 4QP, GB, LancsCAN focuses on key areas such as energy, biodiversity and wildlife, food, green and blue spaces, transport and mobility, housing and buildings, and recycling and waste management. The organization seeks to collaborate with Lancashire’s councils and political leaders to realize the climate, environment, and other relevant priorities of the Lancashire 2050 Plan. All three of Lancashire’s universities – Edge Hill University, Lancaster University, and the University of Central Lancashire – support LancsCAN’s development.
