Since its inception in 2005, Black Lunch Table (BLT) has been committed to creating dynamic platforms for artists and community members to engage on a variety of essential issues. Operating from its primary address in Brooklyn, New York, US, Black Lunch Table mobilizes a democratic approach to rewriting contemporary cultural history by stimulating discourse among those who are shaping it.

Black Lunch Table's work includes roundtable series, an extensive online oral history archive, and a significant Wikipedia initiative. BLT creates both physical and digital spaces designed to foster community, encourage dialogue, and promote social justice.
