African Women in Energy and Power (AWEaP) is dedicated to fostering the growth and success of women entrepreneurs within the dynamic energy and power sectors across Africa. As a non-profit organization, AWEaP focuses on unlocking opportunities for women-led SMMEs, especially where energy intersects with vital industries such as agriculture, health, water, telecommunications, transport, housing, and security.
AWEaP achieves its mission through strategic interventions, including in-country mobilization events, a tailored six-month Entrepreneurial Accelerator program, an online directory showcasing innovation by African women in energy, and an annual SMME and SME showcase at international energy and power sector events. With a primary address at 20 Hope Road, Mountain View, ZA, African Women in Energy and Power is committed to supporting and attracting women to participate actively in the energy sector.
