Heart of the City

Heart of the City is a transformational real estate development scheme located in Sheffield city centre, creating 1.5 million sq ft of individually designed and repurposed buildings for office, retail, residential, and leisure use. This ambitious project aims to make Sheffield an even more rewarding and dynamic place to live and work, attracting more jobs and investment to the region. Heart of the City is being delivered by Sheffield City Council and its strategic development partner, Queensberry.

The development includes plans for premium retail brands, Grade A offices, restaurants and bars, entertainment venues, urban living, boutique hotels, and enlivened public spaces. Heart of the City is carefully designed to integrate with existing shopping districts such as The Moor, Fargate, Barker’s Pool, and the Devonshire Quarter, preserving much of the city’s heritage. The primary location of Heart of the City is in Sheffield, S1, GB. Key frontages along Pinstone Street and Cambridge Street are being retained, and the historic, Grade II* Listed Leah’s Yard is undergoing restoration.

Heart of the City is poised to generate significant economic benefits for the region. The project is expected to create around 500 construction jobs and support between 5,500 and 7,000 jobs once completed.
