PLANET4HEALTH

PLANET4HEALTH is dedicated to translating science into policy for planetary health, with funding from the EU. The PLANET4HEALTH project, a Horizon Europe Health RIA initiative, employs a multisectoral approach to adapt to and mitigate the adverse effects of vector-borne diseases, environmental pollution, and climate change. PLANET4HEALTH's mission is to provide new knowledge and tools addressing environmental degradation’s impacts on human, animal, and ecosystem health.

PLANET4HEALTH aims to support policymaking processes and raise citizen awareness about sustainable planetary health, climate and environmental policies, and adaptation and mitigation strategies to natural hazards. The project values scientific integrity, multidisciplinarity, sustainability, collaboration, innovation, inclusivity, and community engagement, all aimed at addressing complex planetary health challenges through interdisciplinary collaboration.

Through tailored case studies focusing on pivotal areas such as vector-borne diseases in the Iberian Peninsula, air pollution in South Africa, food safety in Central Europe, and mental wellbeing in environmental & climate context, PLANET4HEALTH is committed to advancing planetary health.
