Groundwork Project is dedicated to supporting frontline organizers in the critical fight for democracy. By investing in justice, equity, and empowerment, Groundwork Project focuses on areas where it's needed most. The organization is deeply committed to bolstering local community organizers, especially in regions where the ongoing struggle transcends individual candidates or single elections, centering instead on the very preservation of American democracy.

Operating across diverse regions from the Deep South to Appalachia and the Plains, Groundwork Project consistently supports leaders who are committed year-round to securing justice, equity, and democracy for all. Groundwork Project engages through multiple key initiatives, including The Organizer Network, which provides essential capital, community, and capacity to frontline organizers; The Organizing Accelerator, which trains the next generation of organizing leaders in partnership with the NAACP; and The Narrative Studio, dedicated to challenging boom-and-bust civic spending and elevating the impactful work of local changemakers.
