PITDC operates a state-of-the-art laboratory for Research and Development, concentrating on both formulation and manufacturing process development. In recent years, the center has intensified its focus on the international presence of Taiwanese pharmaceutical products, leading to the establishment of the Taiwan Pharmaceutical Alliance (TPA). TPA members include the largest Taiwanese pharmaceutical manufacturers of Active Pharmaceutical Ingredients (API) and Finished Dosage Forms (FDF), many of whom have successfully established product markets in ASEAN, South America, Japan, the US, and EU regions.
