Rawanee - Literary and Performing Arts

Rawanee - Literary and Performing Arts is dedicated to supporting authentic community creative thought and expression through a diverse range of activities. Based in London, Rawanee produces and publishes an anthology of Urdu poetry in collaboration with the Stephen Spender Trust. Since 2021, Rawanee has hosted a podcast, "RawPods: Creative Thought & Expression," available on major platforms like Spotify, Apple Podcasts, and YouTube, featuring poetry and conversations on creative thought and expression.

Rawanee also hosts multi-lingual, international poetry events attended by Poetry Society stanzas from across England and members in various countries. Collaborating with institutions like SOAS, University of London, Rawanee promotes decolonisation of thought and authenticity of expression through onsite and hybrid events. As a registered stanza of Poetry Society UK, Rawanee initially represented poetry of the Pakistani and wider South Asian diaspora and now works with an international, multi-cultural audience.
