Sharif Petroleum Operating Company (SHPOC) is a leading entity in the oil and gas sector, dedicated to exploration, development, and production within Block 17, situated in the western region of Sudan. Operating primarily in southern Kordofan and extending into eastern Darfur state, Sharif Petroleum Operating Company focuses on maximizing the potential of its 11,093 KM2 concession area.

Production commenced in December 2012, with light crude oil (API38) extracted from the South alnajma field, achieving a peak output of 15,000 BOPD. The crude oil is transported via the Petro Energy pipeline to the GNPOC export terminal.
