Saras is a leading independent operator in the energy sector in Europe, committed to excellence and innovation. With a strong presence in oil refining, Saras operates the Sarlux refinery in Sarroch (Cagliari), one of the largest and most advanced in the Mediterranean, boasting a capacity of 300,000 barrels per day. The Combined Cycle Gasification Plant, integrated with the refinery, plays a vital role in the stability and security of Sardinia's power grid. Furthermore, through its subsidiary Sardeolica, Saras produces and sells renewable electricity from wind and solar sources, with a current total installed capacity of 171 MW, meeting the annual energy needs of approximately 200,000 people. The company aims to increase its capacity to 1 GW by 2028, aligning with national decarbonization policies.
