We believe in working together for the love of trees.
The Tree Council is dedicated to fostering a vibrant and sustainable environment through the preservation and promotion of trees. Founded nearly 50 years ago, The Tree Council focuses on trees growing outside major forests and woodlands, enhancing streets, parks, school playgrounds, orchards, hedgerows, and pastures across the UK.
The Tree Council supports an expansive network of over 5,000 volunteer Tree Wardens who actively plant and conserve trees in communities throughout England, Scotland, Wales, and Northern Ireland. Their collaborative efforts extend to science and social research in partnership with Defra, Forest Research, Fera, and others. The Tree Council also maintains a vital relationship with Network Rail, providing expert advice on vegetation management along 20,000 miles of railway corridors. The primary address of The Tree Council is 4 Dock Offices, Surrey Quays Road, London, Southwark SE16 2XU, GB.
Committed to connecting people with trees and the natural world, The Tree Council organizes an annual community program and nurtures partnerships with 120 Member organizations, key relations like the Woodland Trust, Trees for Cities, and Learning through Landscapes, and academic partners such as Newcastle and Strathclyde Universities.
