The John Muir Trust is a leading conservation charity dedicated to the experience, protection, and repair of wild places. The John Muir Trust works alongside communities nationwide to connect people with wild places, campaign to protect these environments, and restore and rewild land for the common good. Located at Tower House, Station Road, Pitlochry, PH16 5AN, GB, The John Muir Trust stewards wild land on the west coast of Scotland, including Ben Nevis, areas of Skye, Knoydart, and Sutherland, as well as East Schiehallion (Perthshire), the Scottish Borders, and Glenridding Common (Lake District).

Collaborating with local partners, The John Muir Trust works towards landscape-scale restoration of natural processes, the expansion of native woodlands, the nurturing of rare mountain plants, and footpath repair through some of the country's wildest places. The John Muir Trust actively campaigns to protect wild places and advocates for policy changes that benefit all life – plants, animals, and humans, supporting natural climate solutions such as carbon capture.
