Based in Bristol, star* scheme enhances grassroots rugby coaches' and volunteers' understanding of trauma, equipping them with the skills to bring adversity-experienced communities into the rugby family. By reducing barriers, such as arranging transport to clubs, sourcing kit and equipment, and connecting families with community services like the police, social services, NHS, and outreach programs, star* scheme ensures that more young people have access to the benefits of the sport. star* scheme also provides a variety of rugby experiences in community settings, including local schools, to engage young people and foster a love for the game.
