Heifer International Cambodia

Heifer International Cambodia is dedicated to eradicating hunger and poverty while safeguarding the planet. Since its inception in 1999, Heifer Cambodia has empowered smallholder farmers through enhanced production methods and increased incomes derived from various agricultural value chains, including poultry, safe vegetables, beef cattle, and fish. To date, the organization has positively impacted over 333,000 families.

Located in Phnom Penh, KH, Heifer International Cambodia connects smallholder farmers across the nation with self-help groups and agricultural cooperatives, facilitating access to new markets and financial resources to expand their businesses. Environmental protection and regeneration are central to their operations, as farmers learn sustainable business models, composting techniques, renewable energy use, and tree planting to revitalize their communities.

Heifer International Cambodia’s projects are focused on enhancing food security, improving sanitation and hygiene, promoting agricultural skills, integrating into MSMEs for inclusive agricultural market systems and value chains, reducing poverty, and strengthening community sustainable development networks. Heifer International Cambodia collaborates with governments, public and private institutions, academic organizations, financial institutions, and local partners, building the capacity of over 30 local organizations as implementing partners.
