Great Potentials Foundation

Great Potentials Foundation is dedicated to promoting education and providing comprehensive parental support. Founded in 1990, the organization focuses on working within communities to unlock the potential of children, young people, and parents. With a mission to enhance family functioning, alleviate suffering, reduce disparities, and break the cycle of disadvantage, Great Potentials Foundation offers a range of impactful programs.

The organization achieves its goals through three core programs: Family Service Centres located in Papakura and Takanini, serving as integrated community hubs for health, education, and social services; HIPPY (Home Interaction Programme for Parents and Youngsters), an early education program empowering parents to prepare their children for school; and MATES (Mentoring and Tutoring Education Scheme), which addresses educational underachievement by connecting tertiary student mentors with students at key transition points. Great Potentials Foundation operates from multiple locations, including its primary address at 666 Great South Rd, Auckland, 1061, NZ, as well as additional offices at 8 Oakleigh Ave, Auckland, Auckland 2112, NZ, and 14 Maurice St, Papakura, Auckland 2110, NZ.
