Improving the quality of life of people living with HIV, in all our diversity.
The Global Network of People Living with HIV (GNP+) is dedicated to enhancing the quality of life for people living with HIV, embracing all aspects of diversity. Originating from the International Steering Committee of the International Conferences of People Living with HIV, founded in 1986, The Global Network of People Living with HIV (GNP+) has been at the forefront of addressing the HIV epidemic through information exchange and collaborative activism.
Driven by the expressed concerns and needs of communities, The Global Network of People Living with HIV (GNP+) concentrates on critical themes such as preventing prenatal transmission of HIV, promoting access to treatment, care, and support, and advocating for the rights of people living with HIV, including their sexual and reproductive health. The organization actively addresses stigma and rights violations, including those in the workplace, and champions the Greater Involvement of People Living with HIV (GIPA principle) alongside the leadership of young individuals living with HIV.
The Global Network of People Living with HIV (GNP+) operates from its primary address at Eerste Helmersstraat 17 B3, Amsterdam, 1054 CX, NL, and maintains a significant presence at 32 Kloof Street, Cape Town, Western Cape 8001, ZA. By promoting the involvement of people living with HIV (PLHIV), The Global Network of People Living with HIV (GNP+) also encourages the engagement of young people, women and girls, and other key populations, including men who have sex with men, LGBT people, people who use drugs, and sex workers.
