Abertis Foundation

The Abertis Foundation has been dedicated to the sustainable development of regions where Abertis operates for the past 25 years. Located in Castellet i la Gornal, Barcelona, with its primary address at Pl. Castell s/n, Castellet i la Gornal, Barcelona 08729, ES, the Abertis Foundation focuses on five strategic areas: road safety, environment, social action, education, and culture. Road safety and the promotion of sustainable mobility are central to the Abertis Foundation's mission, with the goal of reducing road accidents through educational initiatives.

Since 2014, the Abertis Foundation's headquarters at Castellet Castle has hosted the UNESCO International Centre of Mediterranean Biosphere Reserves. This center supports an extensive program of scientific and informational activities related to the Mediterranean Biosphere Reserves network. The Abertis Foundation also proudly celebrates the 20th anniversary of the Abertis Chairs in 2023, which fosters training, research, and knowledge sharing between universities and companies, in collaboration with esteemed academic institutions.
