Front Line Defenders is dedicated to the protection of Human Rights Defenders (HRDs) worldwide. These individuals work non-violently to uphold the rights enshrined in the Universal Declaration of Human Rights (UDHR). Front Line Defenders provides crucial, rapid, and practical support to HRDs facing immediate risks, ensuring they can continue their vital work without fear.

Located at 2nd Floor, Grattan House, Temple Road, Blackrock, Co. Dublin, IE, and Square Marie - Louise 72, Brussels, B-1000, BE, Front Line Defenders offers a range of security and protection grants to both organizations and individual HRDs at risk. These grants are specifically designed to enhance the security and protection of HRDs, covering areas such as digital security improvements, communication security, legal fees for those facing judicial harassment, and medical fees for those harmed due to their human rights activities. Front Line Defenders also provides emergency security grants and assistance with temporary relocation.

Through training in security and digital security, Front Line Defenders empowers HRDs with the knowledge and tools they need to protect themselves. The organization also amplifies the voices and cases of HRDs at risk through strategic campaigning and lobbying at the international level.
