The Foundation for Sustainable Development (FSD) envisions a world where all people have the opportunity and capacity to direct economic, social, and environmental resources toward sustainable outcomes that improve their lives and communities. FSD focuses on community engagement through asset-based development and international exchange in Africa, Asia, and Latin America.
With program sites in six countries and seven locations, the Foundation for Sustainable Development has supported more than 250 community partner organizations and trained over 4,000 volunteers for almost two decades. The community development efforts of FSD have maintained an ongoing project sustainability rate of nearly 80 percent, addressing health, social, environmental, and economic issues. This is achieved by responding to community priorities and offering training, grants, and volunteer support to community partners.
