The Ethiopian Medical Students' Association | EMSA-Ethiopia is dedicated to fostering well-rounded medical professionals who are deeply aware of local, regional, and global health challenges. Operating as a non-governmental and not-for-profit organization since its establishment in 2003, EMSA-Ethiopia empowers medical students, encouraging them to actively participate in enhancing medical education quality and driving meaningful change within their communities.

EMSA-Ethiopia’s primary goal is to connect, support, and advocate for medical students across Ethiopia, facilitating their journey to acquire medical knowledge and develop comprehensive skills. With a vision of creating an environment where medical students are fully equipped to influence the healthcare system positively, both locally and globally, EMSA-Ethiopia operates with local chapters in 16 medical facilities and plans for further expansion.

Located in Addis Ababa, EMSA-Ethiopia is a proud member of the International Federation of Medical Students’ Associations (IFMSA) since 2005 E.C. EMSA-ETHIOPIA shares objectives with IFMSA on making contributions towards the improvement of quality of health.
