As New Zealand’s national organization for documentaries since 2005, Doc Edge serves as a premiere Asia Pacific hub, fostering creativity and innovation in the documentary film industry. Through various initiatives, Doc Edge is committed to enriching the cultural landscape and empowering storytellers from around the globe.

Doc Edge offers a wide range of programs, including the Doc Edge Festival, an Academy Awards® qualifying international documentary festival that showcases exceptional films and immersive projects. The organization also hosts the Doc Edge Awards, which recognize excellence in documentary filmmaking and provide winners with significant opportunities. Additionally, Doc Edge features an Immersive Exhibition, offering digital interactive storytelling projects with virtual and augmented reality installations. The Doc Edge Industry program connects media professionals through forums, pitches, and markets, facilitating networking and career development.

Committed to education, Doc Edge provides the Doc Edge Schools program, connecting students with documentary films and offering a Student Short Documentary Competition.
