Arab Women in Computing (ArabWIC) is dedicated to supporting, inspiring, retaining, and encouraging collaboration among Arab women in the computing field. The organization strives to increase the visibility of Arab women in computing and help them elevate their status, enabling them to achieve their career aspirations. Founded in 2012 during the New York University Abu Dhabi (NYUAD) regional collaborative Workshop on Women in Computing in the Arab World, ArabWIC has quickly become a vital resource for women in STEM. As an official chapter of the Anita Borg Institute for Women and Technology (Systers), Arab Women in Computing is committed to promoting women empowerment and fostering a more inclusive tech industry.
