The Malkia Initiative

The Malkia Initiative is a community-based organization dedicated to making lives count in Kajiado County, Kenya. Founded in June 2015 and legally registered in October 2016, The Malkia Initiative focuses on enhancing equity in education by reducing barriers to transition and increasing engagement and well-being among adolescent girls and youth. The organization’s core mission is centered around Sexual Reproductive Health and Rights, as well as providing crucial mentorship to the community. The Malkia Initiative operates from its primary address at 334, Ground floor, Hall 1, Kajiado, Kajiado 01100, KE.

With a presence in over 33 schools across Kajiado County, The Malkia Initiative has successfully reached over 5000 students in its almost six years of operation. Through focused programs and community engagement, The Malkia Initiative aims to empower women and girls, promote menstrual health management, and champion sexual reproductive health and rights. The organization continually strives to create a positive impact by fostering an environment where young individuals can thrive and achieve their full potential.
