EXPO (EX-incarcerated People Organizing)

EXPO (EX-incarcerated People Organizing) is dedicated to fostering just systems and policies that create healthy families and safe communities. Rooted in the belief of human dignity for formerly and currently incarcerated individuals, EXPO champions the idea that these individuals are valued members of families and assets to communities. EXPO is committed to dismantling all systems that perpetuate mass incarceration and excessive supervision.

EXPO works tirelessly to eliminate all forms of structural discrimination against formerly incarcerated people, ensuring their full participation in community life. EXPO emerged in 2014, when formerly incarcerated individuals from Wisconsin united to establish a statewide organization. Today, EXPO continues to provide vital support and organize to reform Wisconsin’s penal system.

EXPO's work is supported by family members of currently and formerly incarcerated people, alongside allies committed to justice. EXPO is committed to building a more equitable future for all.
