Dutch Coalition on Disability and Development (DCDD)

The Dutch Coalition on Disability and Development (DCDD) is the Dutch platform dedicated to advocacy, connection, and education, all focused on disability inclusion within international cooperation. DCDD unites individuals and development organizations to champion the rights and inclusion of people with disabilities in developing countries. With a firm belief in equal opportunities for all, DCDD works to dismantle barriers—from physical obstacles to policy inadequacies and negative perceptions—that hinder the full participation of people with disabilities.

Founded in 2000, DCDD is committed to fostering inclusive Dutch development cooperation across civil society organizations, non-governmental entities, the private sector, and the Dutch government. This commitment is rooted in the human rights perspective of people with disabilities. DCDD actively monitors the Dutch government's implementation of the UN Convention on the Rights of People with Disabilities, particularly Article 32 concerning international cooperation. The organization also promotes collaboration and knowledge-sharing on disability inclusion within the Dutch development cooperation sector. Located at Havensingel, 's-Hertogenbosch, NL, DCDD operates as a network organization with a dedicated staff and engaged members working towards these vital goals.
