Hansen House

Hansen House, a distinguished center for design, media, and technology, is located in the historic Talbiya neighborhood of Jerusalem. Housed in a beautifully preserved nineteenth-century leprosy asylum, Hansen House stands as a listed monument, celebrated for its historical and architectural significance. The Jerusalem Development Authority initiated the preservation project in 2011, ensuring that Hansen House continues to be a vibrant hub for innovation and creativity.

Hansen House is renowned for its flagship initiative, Jerusalem Design Week (JDW), the largest and most influential public event dedicated to design in Israel. Featuring a diverse array of events, shows, and international and local exhibitions, JDW promotes design in Jerusalem and supports Israeli designers on a global stage. Each year, JDW explores unique Jerusalemite and Israeli situations, inviting designers from various disciplines to develop new projects and ideas that respond to a central theme.

Located at Gedalyahu Alon St. 14 in Jerusalem, Hansen House also hosts several permanent residents, annual events, and a permanent historical exhibition. Open to the public, Hansen House fosters collaboration and creativity, contributing significantly to Jerusalem's cultural landscape.
