With a capacity of 10 million tonnes per annum, Arrium Mining’s operations include the Iron Baron, Iron Knob, and South Middleback Ranges mine sites. The company extracts both hematite and magnetite iron ore, transporting them to Whyalla via rail and pipeline. A substantial portion of the magnetite is processed into pellets (approximately 1.3 million tonnes per annum) for use in steelworks, while the hematite ore (around 10 million tonnes per annum) and surplus magnetite are shipped to customers primarily in Asia.

Arrium Mining boasts total reserves and resources nearing half a billion tonnes, coupled with a diverse portfolio of non-ferrous mining assets in South Australia.
