Trainee Associate Psychological Practitioners (TAPPs) is dedicated to advancing mental health care through innovative educational programs and practical clinical experience. TAPPs, or Trainee Associate Psychological Practitioners, represent a new generation of Mental Health Practitioners (MHPs). These psychology graduates are diligently working towards completing a postgraduate certificate (PGcertAPP) at The University of Central Lancashire (UCLan), ensuring they are well-equipped to provide exceptional care.

The TAPPs program is designed to immerse trainees in real-world clinical settings for four days a week, fostering the development of essential skills and competencies. The program focuses on seven core areas: communication & relationships, patient care, analytical & clinical judgemental skills, strategic planning & organisation, policy & service development, information resource governance, and research, development & service evaluation.
