Participants actively contribute to the operation of The Mountain, a 2,000-acre sustainably managed land trust nestled in the White Mountains of New Hampshire. With a mission spanning over four decades, The Mountain aims to connect people and nature through education, healing, and inspiration.

The Trade's apprentices gain invaluable real-world experience, working alongside seasoned tradespeople and professionals as integral members of The Mountain team. This hands-on approach allows them to build their resumes and accumulate a transition fund, facilitating their journey towards independence. The Trade offers practical experience in diverse fields such as carpentry, forestry, and hospitality management.
