Association of Surgeons in Training

The Association of Surgeons in Training (ASiT), originally established in 1976, serves as a vital forum for surgical trainees in the UK. ASiT has grown to become the second-largest surgical specialty association in the UK, boasting over 2,700 members across all ten surgical specialties.

ASiT uniquely represents trainees at both Core and Higher Surgical Training levels, ensuring the needs of its members are met through various training courses, grants, prizes, and fellowships. The Association of Surgeons in Training actively represents the views of surgical trainees on the councils of the Surgical Royal Colleges, ISCP, JCST, and numerous other working parties and committees.

Dedicated to providing maximum value to its members, the Association of Surgeons in Training hosts the ASiT Annual Surgical Conference, which attracts over 700 delegates for a weekend of educational courses, lectures, and debates on all aspects of surgery and surgical training.
