Since 1955, the Singapore Maritime Employers Federation (SMEF) has been dedicated to fostering maritime employers' interests and enhancing industry relations. As a registered Trade Union under the Singapore Trade Unions Act, SMEF is committed to promoting and protecting the general interests of its members within the maritime sector.

SMEF plays a vital role in establishing and maintaining excellent industrial relations between maritime employers and the seafarers employed on their vessels.
