Since its formation in 1994, the Society has been a proactive voice, consulted by key bodies such as the Scottish Government, the Law Society of Scotland, and the Scottish Legal Aid Board on a variety of important topics.

The Society of Solicitor Advocates offers comprehensive advocacy training, delivered with the assistance of the renowned National Institute for Trial Advocacy. With a membership of approximately 230 civil and criminal solicitor advocates from diverse legal firms and the public sector, the Society remains committed to supporting and advancing the capabilities of its members.
