Black Women Lawyers of Northern California (BWLNC) is a distinguished organization dedicated to providing professional, educational, social, and moral support for Black women judges, lawyers, and law students in Northern California. Celebrating over four decades of excellence, Black Women Lawyers of Northern California remains deeply committed to active service within its surrounding communities.

Founded in 1979, Black Women Lawyers of Northern California has cultivated a strong sisterhood and support network for Black women in the legal profession. Through a range of programs, including roundtable discussions, community service projects, and networking events, BWLNC addresses the unique needs and experiences of Black women attorneys. With a diverse membership comprising senior-level executives, in-house attorneys, law firm partners and associates, solo practitioners, public interest and public sector attorneys, judges, professors, and law students, Black Women Lawyers of Northern California stands out as more than just a bar association—it is a vibrant community.
