Terre Haute Police Department

The Terre Haute Police Department is dedicated to serving the City of Terre Haute with Dignity, Respect, and Fairness. As an ILEAC-accredited law enforcement agency, the Terre Haute Police Department is staffed by 133 full-time sworn officers assigned across the Operations Division, Investigations Division, and Special Services. The department is located at its primary address: 222 S 7th St, Terre Haute, Indiana 47807, US.

The Operations Division includes Uniform Patrol, the K9 Unit, and Traffic Division, and also oversees the Special Response Team (SWAT) and Incident Response Team for crowd control. The Investigations Division consists of the Violent Crimes Unit, Property Crimes Unit, White Collar and Auto Theft Unit, and Juvenile Investigations. It also oversees detectives assigned to the Vigo County Drug Task Force, a multi-jurisdictional narcotics unit, and the Crime Scene Unit. Support Services manage the Records Division, Fleet Management, Training, the Environmental Protections Division, and various civilian support staff functions.
